I’ve said it fifty gazillion times before but I love the Barry M Gelly Nail Paints. I think I pick up at least one every time they add to the range. I also really love black and dark nail polish so you could say I was pretty pleased to find out that they were adding four shades of black to the line. They have ‘Black Currant’ (purple based black) and ‘Black Cherry’ (red based black) which are fairly common shades so I didn’t get those but I did get ‘Black Grape’ (blue based black) and ‘Black Pistachio’ (green based black) which are far more unusual.

On the nails it is quite hard to tell them apart, even in daylight, unless you look really closely. You can apply two thin coats to show off the base colour a little more, but I like the super dark, just about true black, that three coats give you.

As with all the Gellys, they are prone to peeling after a couple of days – this doesn’t really bother me, but worth mentioning as I know that a lot of people expect their nail polish to last a bit longer.

Still, for £3.99 each, I love them. Black nails are so classy for autumn/winter so I am super happy to have these in my collection.
