Happy New Year one and all! I hope that 2013 was good to you and that 2014 will be even better. I know that a lot of people scoff at New Year resolutions, but I think that they are a good way of deciding what is important to you for the year ahead. They’re not written in stone, people’s priorities change over the year, over the week even, and there’s no need to feel miserable about not keeping them, but I find that they’re fun to at least think about. So here are mine.
The majority of my immediate goals are laid out in my post 30 Before 30 and nothing much has changed but there are a couple I’d like to focus on.
Firstly – to get healthier. I’m starting to keep a food and fitness journal (the Blogilates journal above) in order to help me on the way to achieving this. I’m starting with the Blogilates Beginners Workout Calendar and adding in a few more walks, swims, and healthier diet choices.
I’m going to create my 2013 photo a day book having completed the challenge. I’ll also be starting another 365 photo project which will be slightly different for 2014. I’ll write more about that with my final pictures from 2013 tomorrow.
I was given a beautiful sketchbook for Christmas so I am now determined to get back to drawing.
I want to do some work on my blog, possibly going self-hosted, some tweaks to the design and I’d also like to get some business cards made up. I’ll also make more effort to promote it, interact more on other blogs and generally share the blog-love a bit.
Read more books! I posted my five favourites of last year along with some reading related goals which you can read here.
Not at all unrealistic right? I hope so anyway. What are your resolutions? Please leave me a link if you have done a blog post on resolutions and I will have a look. We all need a bit of support this time of year!
Hey! Found your blog through the FB group FBL and am now following! Here is a link to my “goals” (I hate to call them resolutions as I always fail!). Good luck with yours!

Thank you very much
They’re good resolutions, I haven’t decided on mine yet…!
