Christmas Gift Guides 2015 | Beauty Queen

Beauty Wishlist non product

I think that when it come to this time of year you fall into one of two camps. The first is the “Oh god, it’s still November, Christmas is ages away, shut up” Grinch camp, and the second is the “Yey, it’s the last week in November, Christmas is only a month away, let’s put tinsel on EVERYTHING!” Buddy the Elf camp. I am definitely the latter. To celebrate I’m doing a solid week of gift guides. YAS. Shopping is my favourite hobby.

Today is for all the beauty lovers out there. I have luxe, under £20, and non-product options to cover all bases.

Luxe Beauty Gift Guide

Left to right: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit (£65); Burberry My Burberry Eau De Parfum – Limited Edition Festive Gold Collection 90ml (£89); theBalm theManizer Sisters Luminizing Palette (£24); Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Collector – Kiss and Love Collection 2015 (£25) and Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Kiss and Love Collection (£26); Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Eye Palette (£38)

This Hourglass palette is a sure-fire hit. OK, it’s not the best value for money in terms of how many grams you are getting, but for anyone who has always admired the Hourglass powders but not bought any, it’s pretty ideal; The Burberry perfume has to be one of the most luxe Christmas editions for this year, but it is beautiful. It’s glittery perfume. What more do you want at this time of year?!; Another highlighting product, but 2015 has been the year of strobing so let’s go with it. TheManizer palette is a bit a fun with quirky packaging but the products are very high quality so definitely well worth the splurge; These two YSL products are classics from their core collection, just in special packaging and I think the kiss print is really cute. Perfect individually or together depending on your budget; Finally for the high end stuff, I am so excited for this UD x Gwen palette. It’s mostly neutral so a bit of a crowd pleaser. Perfect for any No Doubt fan (guarantee most women from the age of about 25 and up).

Under £20 Beauty Gift Guide

Left to right: Seventeen Pop Pink (£15); Makeup Revolution I Heart Chocolate Salted Caramel Eye Palette (£7.99); Origins Mask Marvels Christmas Gift Set (£14); Reiss Nail Paint AW15 Collection (£20); Lush The Magic of Christmas Reusable Bubble Bar (£5.95)

I’ll be honest, I mostly chose the Seventeen set due to the super cute lip box. But I think the selection is pretty good to – a highlighter (again!), lip crayon, nail polish and blusher in inoffensive colours. Great for younger beauty fans; I love the look of the new Salted Caramel palette – that blue in the middle is singing to me! Again, this packing is great and it will look good as a standalone present. The quality of Makeup Revolution is superb too; I love an Origins mask but they are pricey (£22 each) so this neat little set is great for trying them out; I think this Reiss set, along with the other Reiss sets available in Boots look really classy. Plus it’s on the 3 for 2!; Finally, you can’t go wrong with one or two products from Lush, depending on your budget. I would pair this bubble bar with the Cinders bath bomb for a spicy, Christmassy bathtime.

Left to right: Gold Foil Eyes Art Print (£23); Face Paint: The Story of Makeup by Lisa Eldridge (£15.19); Black Heart Creatives Glitter Lips Necklace (from £25); Canvas Makeup Bag (from £7); On Fleek Enamel Pin (£9)

I love gold foil prints at the moment and this eyes one will bring a monochrome based gallery wall up to date. It’s A4 and I would also buy a cheap frame from Ikea if I was giving it; Face Paint is a bit of a different makeup book – it’s about the development of makeup through the ages instead of being tutorial based. Should be fascinating; This glitter lips necklace is a beaut! It’s available in a few different colours and finishes and is a truly fabulous piece for anyone who loves a statement lip; I picked this makeup bag because it is such a bargain. It’s available in three sizes, black or white, and you can customise the text. I love the sass though; Finally, a lapel pin! If my Instagram feed is anything to go by, enamel pins are having a bit of a moment amongst indie makers so get on your #pingame before it goes mainstream. This one is a must-have for anyone who always looks on fleek.

Hope this have given you some ideas. Let me know what you’re buying for your own beauty queens.
