I’m a sucker for some pretty packaging and Essie’s is just about the prettiest around. I couldn’t resist this dinky trio, these will be perfect for the holiday season.
I can’t decide which is my favourite of these three. ‘Sunday Funday’ is an orange coral, ‘Naughty Nautical’ (best name) is a teal which sits perfectly between green and blue, and ‘Full Steam Ahead’ is a soft lilac.
All three have a subtle silver shimmer running through them, which is very noticeable in the bottle and direct sunshine, less so normally on your nails. ‘Sunday Funday’ is a slightly thicker formula. I used two coats for ‘Sunday Funday’ and had to used three coats for ‘Naughty Nautical’ and ‘Full Steam Ahead’. Application was super quick though thanks to Essie’s wide brush. However, I did find that the brush was actually too wide for my narrow pinky nails and I had to turn it on its side.
At £12.99 for the set, this is a great deal for a summer capsule collection.
These colours are really pretty, especially the lilac. Do you know if the lilac is available to buy separately?
Yep, they’re available individually in full size bottles from Boots: http://www.boots.com/en/Essie-Summer-Nail-Polish-Collection_1348713/
