Friday Favourites – 9 November

Now that Guy Fawkes Night is over I am officially looking forward to Christmas. The first presents have been bought and plans are afoot for crafting decorations and baking goodies. Can’t. Wait. This week I’ve been obsessing on Starbuck Hot Chocolate (can you believe I live 10 miles from the nearest Starbucks), bath bombs and festive candles.

Swizzle Sticks

Courtesy of Kristan Roland of Confessions of a Cookbook Queen these are impressively cute but ridiculously easy treats which you can knock up in about 10 minutes. These would be a great gift packaged with a mug and a sachet of hot chocolate for unexpected or last minute guests over the festive period.

I found these at www.mycandycrafts.com check them out for more ideas.

Bomb Cosmetics

Yum yum yum! So everyone knows how amazing Lush is but I also love Bomb Cosmetics who are a one-stop shop for bath bombs, soaps and highly fragrant candles, all natural, all handmade and all gorgeous. All their products are made in the UK and  they are for being eco-friendly and against animal testing – yey. Once I finish Christmas shopping for everyone else will definitely be treating myself to more of their stuff. By the way, I didn’t intentionally paint my nails to match my bath bomb, that would just be mad!

China Glaze Holiday Joy Collection

‘Dear Santa, I have been very, very good this year…’ I love this collection but I’ve put myself on a no polish buying ban (except if I need a specific colour for a nail art idea) so these will not be mine unless someone’s feeling generous. My favourites are Merry Berry, Cranberry Splash, Pizzazz and Winter Holly if I can only choose four. Look away, Ali!

The Scarlet Nail Diaries has some pretty nice swatches for you to have a gander at and the collection is currently available in Sally’s in gift sets or individually on their 3 for 2 promotion.

And that’s my Friday Favourites. I’ll see you next week for what will undoubtadley be filled with even more Christmassy treats.
