Say hello to the first bronzer I have ever bought and actually worn! This is The Body Shop’s Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in shade 001 Light Matte.
The packaging is lovely, a nice weighty feeling round compact with a suitably bronze honeycomb design. Inside there is a good sized mirror in the lid and the honeycomb design continues.
This bronzer is perfect for paleys like me. It does not have an orangey undertone to it like so many do, instead it gives you an entirely natural glow. I love the fact that it is completely matte so suitable for everyday. It is also easy to apply lightly so you don’t need to worry about it looking patchy or uneven.
This bronzer is £13 full price, which is a bit expensive, but you get a lot of product so I think it will last a long time. There is also an offer on www.thebodyshop.co.uk where you get £10 off when you spend £25 which will make it more affordable if you’ve got your eye on some other bits as well. I didn’t know about this and paid full price in store – doh! Oh well, I do love it.
As I’m new to bronzer I don’t have the right kind of brush for it so I’ve been using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush (and my Expert Face Brush for actual buffing – so stupid). It’s been doing the job but I may have to invest in a kabuki brush or similar. Any suggestions for me?
