I cannot overstate how much I’m loving Barry M’s spring collection. Between the new pastel Gelly’s and the range of colours in the textured range I can see myself going exclusively Barry M until next winter.
So it’s a bit cheeky that Barry M have named their new textured nail effects after street names a’la Nails Inc, but at £3.99 a bottle I forgive them. Pictured is two coats which dries to a thick, evenly textured rough effect. It is a bit runny so I applied one thin coat first and then a thicker second coat. It feels kinda weird, but I think the blue (like the other colours available – mint, pale pink and a mid yellow) is really wearable so this can work for a daytime look. I’ve read that some other people have experienced the rough texture can pick up dust and get grubby quickly, but I personally haven’t experienced this. I would say that it seems to chip quicker than regular polish. However, I change my nail polish quite regularly so this doesn’t worry me!
I love Atlantic Road. I also have Ridley Road (mint) and I could easily be tempted into buying the other two. Top marks!
