Mani Monday – 31 Day Nail Challenge Week Four (& a bit)

I made it! Nails are tinged green, dry and peeling slightly but it was worth it. Had a lot of practice, tried things I’ve been meaning to for ages and had fun along the way. OK, they’re not all perfect but I can only get better right? Let me know what you think of these ones.

Day 30: Inspired by a tutorial
This was inspired by a pin I’ve had on Pinterest for a while so I figured I should finally try a fishtail braid mani. Tutorial by Lucy’s Stash can be found here. I think it’s very pretty but it was a bit of a pain in the bum. It’s the equivalent of doing 10 coats so make sure you give yourself enough time, especially if you’re doing all your nails. I wanted to replicate the colours in the tutorial so used Max Factor ‘Juicy Plum’, Max Factor ‘Cool Jade’ and a Fearne Cotton for Boots unnamed silver polish.

Day 31: Recreate your favourite
Since It’s Halloween I decided to recreate the ‘inspired by a song’ where I did a Purple People Eater by doing another wee monster. Looking at ideas on Google Image search I got a little bit carried away but hey, its Halloween – too much is never enough! I used lots of colours but I think I’ve mentioned them all in previous posts. Let me know if you want to know the names of any specific colours.

Thanks for sticking with me during this challenge. Click here to see my Week One, here to see Week Two and here for Week Three and here for Week Four. And I’ll have plenty more nail stuff to share with you here on this blog in the future. Looking forward to trying more techniques and perfecting the ones I have tried during this month.

  1. I have enough trouble not getting polish on my skin, I can’t even imagine trying to do those Halloween monsters. I like them though especially frankenstines monster and Dracula.
