Leopard Print

Leopard nails are hugely popular and really easy to do. They are perfect for beginners like me and always draw comments. It takes just 4 easy steps:

1.Paint your nails your base colour.
2. Blob the spots on, position them differently on each nail. You can just use the polish’s regular brush for this.
3. Using a nail art pen draw outlines around the dots. I usually draw two on opposite sides, not touching.
4. Apply a top coat and you’re done!

The colours used in the above photograph are: Max Factor Cool Jade (base); Fearne Cotton for Boots (spots) – this was part of a Christmas selection so not available anymore, but it’s not a terribly original colour anyway; Models Own WAH nail art pen in Black (outlines).

A more subtle colour combo – going for the snow leopard look here.

Colours used: Rimmel Grey Matter (base); Boots 17 Mini Skirt (spots); Models Own WAH nail art pen in Black (outlines).

To demostrate how easy leopard print is, I did this with a broken wrist (the other hand looks as good but I couldn’t photograph it!). I even had people asking if they were nail stickers.

Colours used: Boots 17 Mini Skirt (base); Boots 17 Fairy Cake (pink spots and index finger); Nails Inc. Blueberry (lilac spots and ring finger); Models Own Lemon Meringue (yellow spots and pinkie finger); Models Own WAH nail art pen in Black (outlines).
